Waffles with Yogurt

The perfect waffles with yogurt recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

Waffles with yogurt

waffle dough

  • 100 g Butter at room temperature
  • 2 tbsp Raw cane sugar
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • 2 Eggs
  • 125 g Wheat flour 405
  • 1 tsp Baking powder
  • 75 g Chocolate muesli (mymuesli) or to taste
  • 100 ml Buttermilk at room temperature

yogurt

  • 300 g Homemade natural yogurt
  • 2 tbsp Honey liquid to taste
  • 0,25 tsp Orange flavor

miscellaneous

  • Fat for the waffle iron
  • 200 g Fresh strawberries

  1. Put butter at room temperature in a mixing bowl / food processor. Add raw cane sugar & a pinch of salt and stir with a whisk until frothy. Gradually add the two eggs, stir in. Mix wheat flour with baking powder.
  2. Mix the whole thing into the mixture alternately with the chocolate muesli and the room-temperature buttermilk.

yogurt

  1. Put the homemade plain yoghurt in a bowl and stir once. Then stir in honey and the orange aroma, put in a cool place.

miscellaneous

  1. Take the fat / oil and thinly grease the waffle iron beforehand. Take two (2) tablespoons from the waffle batter and place it in the center of the lower baking surface. Close the waffle iron and bake for about 2 to 5 minutes. Then place on a plate or wire rack to cool down.
  2. Do this until there is no more waffle batter left. By the way, I got 7 pieces out. Clean, wash, pat dry & quarter the strawberries, place in a bowl.

Serving

  1. Take a flat oblong plate, break a waffle together and place it on the plate. Then fill a suitable bowl with a little yoghurt and place a few strawberry quarters in it. Garnish a whole strawberry with greens on the cut wafers.
