Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 200 g walnuts
  • 1 cube of yeast
  • 500 ml water, warm
  • 500 g spelt flour (wholemeal)
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp apple cider vinegar

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 35 minutes; Total time approx. 50 minutes

Roughly chop the walnuts. Dissolve the yeast in lukewarm water. Mix the flour with the salt and add the yeast, nuts, and vinegar. Knead everything into a dough for about 3 minutes. Pour the soft dough into a loaf pan and bake in a preheated oven at approximately 200°C (convection oven) on the bottom rack for about 30-35 minutes. Let stand for about 5 minutes in the turned-off oven before removing the loaf from the pan and letting it cool.
