Walnut Pastries
The perfect walnut pastries recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
- 60 g Walnut kernels
- 125 g Butter
- 1 Egg
- 75 g Powdered sugar
- 1 pinch Salt
- 1 teaspoon Ground cinnamon
- 200 g Flour
- 15 g Cocoa powder
- 50 g Dark chocolate couverture
- Sugar sprinkles
- Finely grind the walnut kernels. Mix with butter, egg, powdered sugar, salt and cinnamon. Mix the flour with cocoa powder, sieve over it and knead into a dough. Wrap the dough in cling film and place in the refrigerator for an hour.
- Roll out the dough on a little flour. Cut out hearts and place on a baking sheet lined with baking paper. Bake in the oven at 180 degrees for about 6 to 8 minutes. Remove from oven and allow to cool.
- Melt the couverture over a hot water bath. Decorate hearts with it. Sprinkle with sprinkles of sugar. Let dry.
