Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 1 kg Kasseler ribs
- 1 onion(s)
- 2 carnations
- 1 bay leaf
- ½ tsp juniper berries
- ½ tsp caraway seeds
- 1 cup horseradish, grated
- 750 g jacket potatoes
- 4 cucumber(s) , (pickles)
- 1 onion(s)
- 2 eggs (hard-boiled)
- 2 tsp mustard
- some vinegar
- some salt
- some pepper
- 1 cup of natural yogurt
Instructions
Working time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 40 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 10 minutes
Place the smoked pork ribs in boiling water. Stud the onion with cloves and a bay leaf, then add it to the ribs along with the juniper berries and caraway seeds. Cover the pot and let the smoked pork simmer for about 40 minutes, but do not boil. For the salad, slice the peeled potatoes and pickled gherkins. Peel and finely chop the onion. Peel and roughly dice the eggs. Mix the ingredients and season everything with the spices and yogurt.
