Warm Tomato Bread

The perfect warm tomato bread recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

For covering

  • 6 Pc. Cherry tomatoes
  • 1 Pc. Fresh shallot
  • 1 Pc. Clove of garlic
  • 1 shot Vinegar
  • 1 tbsp Oil
  • 1 pinch Dried oregano
  • 1 pinch Dried basil
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • 1 pinch Pepper

For garnish

  • Cress (garden cress)
  • Chives fresh

“Gerichte-Geschichte”

  1. Paradeiser (tomatoes) on white or black bread, pure or grilled, are a popular snack (between meals) in both Austria and Hungary (meleg szendvics) that are quick and easy to prepare and, on top of that, inexpensive and above all very tasty.

ingredients

  1. Approx. 6-8 pieces of smaller tomatoes, best mixed. Olive or sunflower seed oil is suitable as an oil; we use hesperid or apple cider vinegar as vinegar.

preparation

  1. Quarter the tomatoes, mix with the remaining ingredients and let stand for about 10.
  2. Cut the bread in half, cover with the tomato mixture and grill in the oven at approx. 180 degrees hot air or grill.
  3. Garnish with cress and chives.

variation

  1. Brush the bread with butter and bake the tomato mixture with cheese.
