You can reheat pasta in a number of ways. In this article, we will tell you what options you have and what tips you should keep in mind.
Warm up pasta: in water and in the microwave
Pasta without sauce can be warmed up quickly in hot water.
- To do this, bring water to a boil in a saucepan.
- Place the noodles in a metal colander, which you, in turn, put into the boiling water.
- After half a minute you should check if the noodles are soft enough. If this is not the case, let the pasta continue to cook for a short time.
- If you only want to heat up a small portion of pasta, you can also use a microwave.
- Put the pasta in a suitable container and add a little oil or sauce. This will prevent the pasta from drying out.
- Cover the noodles and heat them in the microwave on medium for about a minute.
Alternative: Warm up the pasta in the oven and the pan
If you want to reheat pasta with sauce, it is advisable to use the oven for this.
- Place the noodles in a casserole dish and cover them with aluminum foil.
- Warm up the pasta in the oven at 180 degrees for about 20 minutes.
- If you don’t have an oven, you can also use the pan to reheat. To do this, heat some oil in a pan medium-high.
- Then add the noodles and warm them up in the pan for two to three minutes.
- Don’t forget to stir the pasta from time to time so it doesn’t burn.
