a great side dish to all kinds of meat dishes

Blanch the beans in gently simmering water for about 5-8 minutes. Then cool the beans in cold water and finally pat them dry with a kitchen towel. Peel the onions and garlic cloves, chop them finely and sauté them with the paprika and pepper in a buttered pan over low heat, stirring frequently. When the mixture begins to brown, add the beans and, if desired, salt and continue to sauté, stirring frequently. Wash the parsley, pat it dry, remove the stalks and chop finely. When the beans are tender, stir in the chopped parsley and season again with salt if desired. The beans with garlic and onions are now ready to serve as a side dish to any kind of meat dish or with a fresh, warm buttered baguette.
