Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 4 bell peppers, red or yellow
  • 500 g mushrooms, fresh, or 1 can, 400 g drained weight
  • 1 small chili pepper(s), hot; pickled
  • 2 tbsp ketchup, regular or hot
  • 1 tsp paprika powder
  • 2 tsp honey
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • some pepper

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Rest time approx. 3 hours; Total time approx. 3 hours 20 minutes

Clean the bell peppers, remove the cores, and cut into strips. Drain or wash and quarter the mushrooms. Finely chop the chili pepper and add it to a pot along with the remaining 5 ingredients. Stir until smooth. Add the vegetables and mix everything. Let it simmer for a few hours, then simmer over medium heat for about 20 minutes, until the liquid has evaporated.
