Thanks to the fermentation of white cabbage by lactic acid bacteria, sauerkraut is created at the end. The sauerkraut juice is also very rich in vitamins, has an effect on our body, and is used, for example, in fasting cures and the sauerkraut diet. It contains various vitamins, such as vitamin K. Vitamin K has a positive effect on bones, blood clotting, and the immune system.
But that’s not all, its effect is also unfolding in other areas. It can serve as a natural probiotic: the lactic acid bacteria produced during fermentation can ensure a healthy intestinal flora. This effect is particularly helpful if you have to take antibiotics. The drugs weaken the intestinal flora, and the microorganisms contained in the juice can counteract this. Also thanks to its lactic acid bacteria, sauerkraut juice can also have an effect on constipation. They stimulate digestion, which is why the juice can serve as a natural laxative. The effects are most intense if you drink one or a maximum of two glasses immediately after getting up. However, this is only a recommendation. The most important thing here is that you drink sauerkraut juice.

Sauerkraut juice effect: skin, weight loss, and diabetes
In fact, sauerkraut contains hardly any calories, but a lot of fiber. They fill you up, which is why the fermented white cabbage is well suited when you are on a diet. The effect of sauerkraut juice when losing weight is similar, although it does not actively reduce pounds. However, the rumor that fermented white cabbage lowers blood sugar is not true. Accordingly, there is no effect of sauerkraut juice on diabetes. It’s different when it comes to skin. The juice contains beta-carotene, which as a precursor to vitamin A not only has a positive effect on the eyes – sauerkraut juice has an even greater effect on the skin. However, fermented white cabbage is not only good for your health. Its characteristic aroma makes it a suitable accompaniment, as well as the main ingredient in many dishes. Our Schupfnudeln with sauerkraut, for example, is particularly popular. Especially if you make the sauerkraut yourself using our recipe.
