Sauerkraut casserole à la Keggi

Spread the love

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 200 g rice, uncooked
  • 500 g minced meat, mixed
  • 400 g sauerkraut from the can
  • 250 ml cream, possibly more
  • salt and pepper
  • Broth, granulated

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 40 minutes

Cook the rice. Heat the sauerkraut with a little broth. Fry the ground beef in a pan until crumbly and season with salt and pepper. Season the cream with granulated broth, salt, and pepper. Grease a casserole dish and then add the well-drained rice. Place the ground beef on top of the rice and finally top with the sauerkraut. Now pour the cream evenly over the casserole. Place the dish on the middle rack of the oven and bake at about 175°C (350°F) until the casserole is golden brown (approx. 20-30 minutes). It tastes delicious, even if you can’t imagine it at first. My kids love it, too. Friends and acquaintances also “clean up” everything.
