Instructions
Working time approx. 5 minutes; Rest time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 25 minutes; Total time approx. 45 minutes
for burgers, barbecues or just like that
Marinade: Bring the whiskey to a boil with the brown sugar, chili powder, and curry powder. Simmer for about 10 minutes. Turn off and let cool. Preheat the oven to 200°C. Line a baking sheet with baking paper. Halve the bacon and spread it on the baking paper. Brush the halved slices well with the marinade. Bake the bacon in the oven for about 10-15 minutes, until it reaches the desired color. Remove the baking sheet from the oven and let the bacon drain on kitchen paper. Caution: Don’t leave it too long, or it will stick. Tip: You can also sprinkle the bacon with a little more brown sugar, but I find that too sweet.
