White beans in tomato and sage sauce

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 2 cans of beans, white giant beans
  • 1 can of tomatoes, pureed or chopped tomatoes
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 4 sage leaves
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp broth, granulated
  • ¼ tsp thyme
  • Pepper, white

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 10 minutes

Finely slice the sage leaves and fry them in olive oil until crispy. Deglaze with tomato juice. Press in the garlic, add the broth and thyme, and bring everything to a boil briefly. Reduce until the sauce thickens slightly. Season with pepper. Add the drained beans and let it simmer. Serve as an antipasti or as a side dish with grilled meats.
