impresses with its funny shape!

Pour flour into a bowl. Make a well in the center of the flour and crumble in the yeast. Warm the milk slightly, pour half of the milk into the well, sprinkle with sugar, and cover with a little flour. Let the starter dough prove for 15 minutes. Melt the butter in the remaining milk and let it cool slightly. Pour the milk-butter mixture into the flour, add salt and aniseed, and knead the dough well. Cover and let it rise in a warm place for about 45 minutes. Grease a loaf pan. Roll out the dough on a lightly floured surface until it is about a finger thick. Using a glass, cut out circles about 8 cm in diameter, fold them into crescents, and place them in the loaf pan with the straight side down. Cover the dough with a damp cloth and let it prove for 30 minutes. Preheat the oven to 200°C. Bake the bread in the center of the oven for about 35 minutes until golden brown. Turn the bread out onto a wire rack and let it cool.
