White cabbage and minced meat casserole

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 500 g minced meat
  • 500 g white cabbage
  • 50 g onion(s)
  • 200 ml cream
  • 3 eggs
  • 200 g grated cheese (e.g. Gouda)
  • 1 tomato(s)
  • Butter for the mold

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 45 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 15 minutes

Preheat the oven to 200°C (top/bottom heat) (180°C fan/convection oven). Cut the cabbage into strips and cook for about 10 minutes (for softer, cook for longer; for crispier, cook for a shorter time), then drain. Dice the onion and fry with the minced meat seasoned with salt and pepper until the minced meat is crumbly. Butter a casserole dish and add the minced meat mixture and the cabbage. Dice the tomato and spread it on top. Mix the eggs with the cream and cheese, season with salt and pepper, and pour evenly over the minced meat, cabbage, and tomatoes. Bake in the hot oven for about 35 minutes. Approximately 677 kcal per serving.
