Ingredients

  • 1 piece Onion
  • 1 toe Garlic
  • 1 kg Mixed minced meat
  • 1,5 kg Fresh white cabbage
  • 0,5 liter Meatsoup
  • 2 tbsp Sunflower oil
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Rose paprika powder
  • Ground caraway
  • Marjoram spice
  • Sugar

Instructions

  • Peel the onion and cut into small cubes. Peel the garlic and also cut or press into small cubes. Prepare the meat broth.
  • Clean and quarter the white cabbage and remove the stalk. Then cut into fine strips.
  • Heat the oil in a large, wide saucepan and sweat the onion and garlic cubes in it. Add the minced meat and fry until crumbly. Add salt, pepper, paprika powder and marjoram to taste.
  • Now add the white cabbage strips in portions and sauté. You can do this with a lot of heat so that the cabbage takes on some color. But don't forget to stir.
  • When the cabbage is completely processed, pour in about half of the meat stock, reduce the heat and let it simmer covered for about 10 minutes.
  • Pour in the rest of the broth and continue to simmer until the cabbage is firm to the bite. For me it was another 10 minutes. Finally, season again strongly with salt, pepper, rose paprika, caraway seeds, marjoram and a small pinch of sugar and serve. We had boiled potatoes with it.
  • This dish is easy to pre-cook - it tastes twice as good when it is warmed up;)
