Salt is a harmful product for the human body, so it is recommended to limit its consumption. But cooking is not complete without salt, and not all people know how to control its rate.

Caramelize onions

Instead of salting onions, caramelize them instead. Specifically, cut it into thin strips lengthwise, and add a tablespoon of unsalted butter or a drizzle of olive oil to a frying pan. Then fry the onion, stirring until it softens.

You need to cook it for at least one hour. Experts say that caramelized onions will turn golden brown. It is important that you do not add sugar or honey because the natural sugar of the onion will do everything by itself.

You can also mix onions with sour cream. Then you will get a paste that is perfect for bread or crackers.

Marinate meat

To avoid adding salt to the meat, you need to marinate it for at least 1 hour. Mix olive oil, balsamic vinegar, a pinch of lemon, and a few peeled cloves of garlic.

There is another marinade that can be used for meat. In particular, it is worth mixing Greek yogurt with various spices such as paprika, thyme, garlic, pepper, and parsley.

Mix all the ingredients well and brush the meat with the resulting marinade. Leave to marinate for at least 2 hours before putting the meat in the oven or on the grill.

Fresh herbs

Experts advise cooking with fresh herbs such as rosemary, thyme, oregano, parsley, and sage. They will add a wonderful flavor to the dish and improve the taste of your food in general.

When cooking potatoes in the oven, drizzle them with a little olive oil and a teaspoon of chopped fresh rosemary.
