Spread the love

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 4 chicken schnitzels
  • 2 cans of mushrooms, small
  • 1 onion(s)
  • 125 ml ketchup
  • 125 ml white wine
  • 250 ml cream
  • 8 slices of bacon
  • salt and pepper

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

Season the chicken schnitzels and fry them lightly in a little oil. Do not overcook, or they will be too dry! Then place them side by side in a baking dish. Fry the onion until translucent, then add the mushrooms and fry briefly. Add the ketchup, white wine, and cream and bring to a boil. Season again with salt and pepper. Pour everything over the schnitzels and top with the bacon. Place in a preheated oven at 160°C for 20-25 minutes. Spätzle (noodles) or rice go best with this dish. Tip: If children are eating with you, replace the white wine with vegetable broth.
