Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 500 g wholemeal flour
  • 100 g seeds (sesame, linseed, sunflower seeds, …)
  • 400 ml water, maybe a little less, approx. 350 ml
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1 ½ packets of dry yeast
  • Fat for the mold

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Rest time approx. 2 hours; Cooking/baking time approx. 40 minutes; Total time approx. 2 hours 50 minutes

A simple whole-grain loaf bread that’s easy to make and requires only one kneading. All the ingredients are easy to keep on hand.

Combine all ingredients in a bowl and mix thoroughly with a dough hook (5-10 minutes). Transfer the dough to a greased (or non-stick) 30cm loaf pan. Let it rise for approximately 1 hour, until it has doubled in size. Cut or pierce the dough occasionally to prevent any air pockets. 15 minutes before the end of the rising time, preheat the oven to 250°C (top/bottom heat). Place the loaf pan on a rack in the preheated oven (center). Bake for 25 minutes. If the bread is too dark, reduce the heat to 200-220°C (400-428°F). Rotate the bread if necessary. Bake for another 15 minutes. Remove the bread from the pan and place it on a rack. Let it cool for 1 hour.
