Wholemeal Spelled Bread without Waiting

The perfect wholemeal spelled bread without waiting recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 1 cube Fresh yeast
  • 500 ml Lukewarm water
  • 500 g Wholemeal spelled flour
  • 50 g Sunflower or pumpkin seeds
  • 50 g Flax seeds or sesame seeds
  • 2 tsp Salt
  • 2 tbsp Apple Cider Vinegar
  • Sunflower oil for the baking pan
  1. Dissolve the yeast in the lukewarm water
  2. Mix flour, sunflower seeds, flax seeds, salt and apple cider vinegar
  3. Stir in the yeast-water mixture and stir for 3 minutes with a hand mixer or food processor
  4. Grease the loaf pan with a little sunflower oil and fill in the dough (which is a bit runny) and bake in the oven at 180 degrees for 50 minutes, remove from the mold and bake for another 10 minutes
  5. If you want, you can add caraway seeds or bread spices to the dough before baking
