Ingredients for 6 servings:

  • 1 kg pork (pork neck), cured and smoked
  • 3 stalk(s) leeks
  • 3 bell peppers
  • 1 onion(s)
  • e.g. fat, for sautéing
  • 250 g mushrooms, finely chopped
  • 500 ml white wine
  • 250 ml cream
  • 1 can of tomatoes, chopped
  • 1 tbsp soup powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp paprika powder
  • 250 g cheese (Emmental), grated
  • 4 cups rice

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 50 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 20 minutes

Pork neck cooked in white wine and topped with leek, peppers and cheese

Cook the pork neck in white wine for about 20 minutes. Finely chop the peppers and onions and sauté them in a little fat. Deglaze the meat with the white wine, add the cream, tomatoes, and the finely chopped mushrooms, and season to taste. Slice the meat, place it in a baking dish, and cover with the vegetables. Sprinkle with grated cheese and bake in a preheated oven at 200°C for 30 minutes until golden brown. In the meantime, cook the rice in salted water and serve everything together.
