XXL Burger

Spread the love

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 flatbread(s)
  • 1 kg minced beef
  • 1 jar gherkin(s), finely chopped
  • 1 cup fried onions
  • 2 tsp herbal salt
  • 1 small head of iceberg lettuce
  • 3 tomatoes, sliced
  • 1 sauce (hamburger sauce)
  • 1 ketchup
  • 1 package of processed cheese, sliced

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 35 minutes

First, season the minced meat with herb salt and knead it thoroughly. Then, line a baking sheet with aluminum foil and form a meatball the size of a frying pan. While this is happening, place the flatbread in the oven at 200°C for 10 minutes. Add plenty of oil to a pan, and it’s very important that the meat goes into the pan IMMEDIATELY, as it’s virtually impossible to get 1 kg of minced meat into the pan without splashing (risk of injury!). After about 3 minutes, turn the meat over. A crêpe pan is best for this. If you don’t have one, you can also use a plate. It’s important to briefly drain the oil and then add it back over. After turning, place plenty of processed cheese on the already cooked side of the meatball and let it cook until done. In the meantime, cut the flatbread in half and spread the hamburger sauce on it. Then place the entire pack of fried onions on the bottom half. Place the finished meatball on top. Then we apply some ketchup. Top with cucumbers, tomatoes, and lettuce and place them together. Then we cut the burger into four pieces using a bread knife.
