XXL Steakhouse Burger on Mushrooms

The perfect xxl steakhouse burger on mushrooms recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

For the mushroom vegetables:

  • 1 tablespoon Olive oil
  • 250 g Fresh mushrooms
  • 1 tablespoon Olive oil
  • 2 Discs Bacon
  • 2 small Onions
  • Salt and pepper
  • 100 ml White wine
  • 150 ml Cream
  • 1 half cube Mashed gravy
  • 1 kl. bunch Parsley
  1. Clean the mushrooms and cut them into thick slices; Cut the onions into short strips, dice the bacon and finely chop the parsley. Preheat the oven to 100 degrees using an ovenproof dish.
  2. Heat the oil in a pan vigorously (a wooden spoon held in it should immediately form bubbles on the edge, then the ideal frying point has been reached). Fry the steak house burgers with a few onion strips in them for 1 to 1 1/2 minutes on each side and then transfer them to the oven dish for gentle cooking.
  3. In the now vacated pan, gently fry the remaining onions with bacon, add the mushrooms and fry, turning several times. Deglaze with wine and cream, season with salt, pepper and the gravy, add half of the parsley and cook everything vigorously, stirring occasionally, until the gravy has dissolved and the sauce has become thick and creamy.
  4. Fold in the remaining parsley and arrange the mushrooms on plates. Place the steakhouse burger on top and serve the dish with small potatoes. But pasta, spaetzle or rice would also be a good side dish. Good Appetite!!
