You Can and Should Eat After 6 p.m.: A Nutritionist Tells You What to Eat Without Harming Your Figure

Anyone who has forbidden themselves to eat after 6 p.m. can read this blog and breathe a sigh of relief. However, this does not mean that you can eat whatever you want in the evening.

The most popular, simple, and harmless diet is not to eat after six in the evening. The school’s founder and nutritionist Andriy Nevsky explained why a late dinner is not harmful to those trying to lose weight.

Thus, the expert assured you that you need to eat an hour or two before bedtime and be sure to include carbohydrates in your last meal. And so losing weight will be more effective than with fasting after 18:00. It is enough to believe that after 6 pm all calories are converted to fat.

If we talk about dinner, it is better to eat before bed and fall asleep sweetly than to suffer from hunger for several hours before bedtime. Or, even worse, break down into an evening (or night) binge and then suffer from remorse.

The nutritionist advises planning dinner in advance and entering calories into your calorie plan before meals, not after. This way, you can properly distribute all the calories, not overeat, and be satisfied.

What is better to eat in the evening

  • To improve the fat-burning process, build your last meal around proteins and carbohydrates with a small amount of fat. With this approach, you will lose weight more comfortably, and your body will “learn” to take energy from fats.
  • Always start with a vegetable salad. Fresh vegetables and herbs are excellent sources of fiber, vitamins, and minerals. Such a start will stimulate digestion and become the key to a healthy diet.
  • A side dish in the main course can be made from vegetables that contain starch (potatoes, pasta, or cereals). It can be supplemented with fish, chicken or turkey, lean beef, and seafood. By the way, it’s good to eat fatty fish in the evening.
  • You can choose any dessert, but it is best to give preference to a low-fat one that contains fruit, cottage cheese, dried fruits, marshmallows, or marshmallows. The main thing is that the treats should bring maximum pleasure.
