Yufka – flatbread

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 200 g flour, 405 (preferably ‘baking flour’)
  • 160 ml water
  • ½ tsp salt

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Slowly add water to the flour and salt and quickly form a dough. Form into approximately 6 balls. Let rest under a damp kitchen towel for at least 30 minutes. Then roll out to a thickness of 3 mm and cook in a non-stick pan, crepe iron, or raclette grill for about 1 minute on each side. Stack to keep the flatbreads soft. Use bulgur, feta cheese, lettuce, gyro, or similar fillings.
