Ingredients for 6 servings:

  • 400 g tomatoes, diced
  • 200 g bacon, diced
  • 3 balls of mozzarella, diced
  • 2 large onions, diced
  • 12 baguette(s) – rolls for baking
  • Salt
  • 4 tbsp olive oil
  • marjoram
  • basil

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Rest time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 1 hour 15 minutes

cheap, tasty, ideal for a social gathering

Cut the baguette rolls lengthwise into 3 slices. In a bowl, add the olive oil, diced tomatoes, mozzarella, onions, and bacon and mix well. Season to taste. Let stand for about 1 hour. Preheat oven to 180 degrees Celsius (convection oven). Spread the tomato, mozzarella, onion, and bacon mixture generously among the baguette slices with a spoon. Bake in the oven for about 15 minutes until the cheese is nicely melted and browned.
