  • 4 slices of Leberkäse
  • 4 tomatoes
  • some butter
  • 300 g sour cream
  • 3 tbsp cream
  • 1 tbsp fried onions
  • 2 dashes Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tsp mustard
  • some salt and pepper
  • Paprika powder
  • e.g. garlic powder
  • Parsley
  • 2 large onions
  • 4 slice(s) processed cheese (e.g. Chester), if desired

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Lightly toast the slices of brown bread, then spread a thin layer of butter and place on a baking sheet. Lightly fry the Leberkäse in a pan and place on the bread. Slice the tomatoes, arrange them on the Leberkäse, and gently season with salt and pepper. Season the sour cream, cream, and fried onions with the spices and also add them to the bread slices, spreading them evenly to cover the tomato slices. Thinly slice the onions and fry them in a pan for a few minutes until they have taken on some color. Finally, spread them on the bread. If you like, you can place a slice of processed cheese between the Leberkäse and the tomato slices. It tastes wonderfully spicy! Baking time: at approx. 225°C (top and bottom heat, preheated) for about 15 minutes.
