Instructions
Working time approx. 30 minutes; Rest time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 1 hour 30 minutes
it doesn’t always have to be meat
Peel the pound of onions and trim the zucchini. Grate both with a grater and let stand, covered, for half an hour. For the yogurt sauce, peel the red onion and slice into fine strips. Trim the cucumber, peel if desired, and slice finely. Mix the yogurt with the onion and cucumber and half of the herbs, season with salt and pepper. Wash and finely dice the bell peppers. Now squeeze the liquid from the onion and zucchini strips well. Mix with the diced bell peppers and the remaining herbs, add the eggs, breadcrumbs, and cheese, and season to taste. You can also vary this with caraway or curry. Heat the oil in a pan and slowly fry the small patties. Serve with the yogurt sauce.
