- 2 small zucchini or 1 medium-sized, yellow or green
- 200 g cream cheese
- 1 clove(s) garlic
- 1 small onion(s) or shallot
- salt and pepper
- herbs of your choice

Grate the zucchini. Lightly salt the zucchini and let it sit for a few minutes, then squeeze out the water. Finely chop the onion and garlic clove and sauté until translucent. Add the drained zucchini and simmer for about 8-10 minutes over medium heat, then let it cool. Mix the cooled zucchini with the cream cheese and season with salt and pepper. If desired, stir in chopped herbs to taste. This summery spread goes well with fresh bread and grilled food.
