Zurich schnitzel – variation

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 750 g turkey meat
  • 1 large onion(s)
  • 1 tbsp flour
  • ¼ liter meat broth
  • ¼ liter white wine
  • 1 cup of cream
  • Parsley
  • Salt and pepper, white
  • Butter or margarine for frying
  • Paprika powder

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Dice the onions and cut the meat into strips. Brown the onions in butter/margarine. Add the meat. Sprinkle with flour. Add the broth and wine and bring to a boil. Season with salt and white pepper, and simmer. Thicken with flour or a sauce thickener if necessary. Finally, add the cream. Sprinkle with chopped parsley and paprika to serve. Serve with spaetzle or rice. Pork can be used instead of turkey, but I prefer poultry.
