Ingredients for 20 servings:

  • 1 kg seasonal vegetables
  • 5 liters of water
  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • 3 slices of ginger
  • 4 bay leaves
  • 1 tsp mustard seeds
  • pepper
  • Salt
  • 1 slice(s) lemon(s)
  • 1 tbsp thyme
  • Fenugreek
  • 5 juniper berries
  • Parsley

Vegan postpartum strength soup from traditional Chinese medicine (TCM)

Wash, trim, and chop the vegetables if necessary. Bring the water to a boil. Heat the olive oil in another large pot and sauté the vegetables. Add the ginger slices, ground mustard seeds, pepper, bay leaves, a pinch of salt, lemon slice, thyme, juniper berries, and fenugreek seeds. Deglaze with the hot water, simmer the soup on low heat for 3-5 hours, and then strain everything. Sprinkle the soup with chopped parsley and serve. This soup is especially recommended in traditional Chinese medicine for women in the postpartum period.
