Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 kg minced meat, mixed
  • 4 m.-sized onion(s)
  • 3 rolls, dry
  • 2 m.-sized eggs
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • salt and pepper
  • Spice mix (paprika spice)
  • some sunflower oil
  • 1 cup water

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 1 hour 30 minutes

Soak the bread rolls in a bowl of water. Peel and finely chop the garlic cloves, peel and dice 2 onions. Squeeze the water out of the soaked bread rolls and chop finely. Mix the minced meat with the raw eggs, the chopped bread rolls, the garlic, and the onions, and season with salt, pepper, and paprika. Peel and dice the other 2 onions and spread them in a roasting pan with a little oil. Shape the minced meat into a loaf, place it in the roasting pan, and roast in a preheated oven at 200°C for about 1 hour until crispy brown. After the first 30 minutes, baste the roast with a cup of water. Tip: You can make a sauce from the meat juices using something like a gravy thickener.
