Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 250 ml milk
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • some water, cold
  • n. B. Dill
  • n. B. Vegetable stock powder

Instructions

Working time approx. 5 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 5 minutes; Total time approx. 10 minutes

e.g. with Kaiser vegetables, rice or noodles

Bring the milk to a boil. Meanwhile, combine the cornstarch with a little cold water in a cup. Once the milk boils, reduce the heat to low, add the blended cornstarch, and stir for about 8-10 seconds to allow the sauce to thicken. Then stir, add dill if desired, and season with broth. This recipe pairs well with Kaisergemüse, but it’s also great for rice or noodles.
