Mushroom sauce

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 800 g mushrooms
  • 2 cups of crème fraîche
  • 500 ml water
  • 1 onion(s)
  • 100 g bacon, diced
  • some cornstarch

Instructions

Working time approx. 25 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 40 minutes

Finely chop the mushrooms and onion. Sauté the onions first, then the bacon, and finally the mushrooms. Mix the crème fraîche with about 500 ml of water, then add it to the pan and simmer. Mix a little cornstarch with water until smooth and use it to thicken the sauce, if desired. Stir everything well and simmer for a bit longer.
