Gyros noodle casserole

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 200 g pasta (short macaroni)
  • 1 bunch of spring onions
  • 1 zucchini
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • 600 g pork, shredded (gyros)
  • 1 tbsp flour
  • 150 ml cream
  • 1 tsp vegetable broth
  • 100 g cheese (Gouda), grated
  • 250 g cherry tomatoes
  • Paprika powder
  • 250 ml water

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Cook the pasta according to the package instructions until al dente. Clean the spring onions and cut into rings. Wash the zucchini and slice. Wash the cherry tomatoes and halve them. Brown the gyros in a pan. Add the zucchini slices and fry for 1-2 minutes. Add the tomatoes and spring onions and fry briefly. Sprinkle with paprika and flour. Sauté briefly, then add the cream and 250 ml water and stir in. Bring to a boil, then stir in the vegetable stock and simmer for 2-3 minutes. Season with salt and pepper. Alternate layers of pasta and gyros in a baking dish and sprinkle with cheese at the end. Bake in a preheated oven at 200°C for approx. 15 to 20 minutes. Serve immediately.
