Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 250 g wheat flour
  • 250 g low-fat curd cheese
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1 egg(s)
  • 1 packet of baking powder
  • Lemon peel, grated

Preheat oven to 200°C. Quickly knead all ingredients together and form into an oblong loaf. Line a loaf pan with baking paper (leaving generous edges) and pour in the dough. Bake on the middle rack for about 30 minutes (test with a wooden skewer to see if it’s cooked through). After about 15 minutes, fold the baking paper over the bread to prevent it from becoming too dark and the crust from becoming too hard. Let cool on a wire rack. Depending on your taste, you can omit the lemon zest or replace it with vanilla sugar. In this case, use less sugar, otherwise it will be too sweet.
