Chia spelt wholemeal bread

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 225 g wheat flour type 1050
  • 225 g wholemeal spelt flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder, organic or baking soda
  • 3 tbsp chia seeds
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 350 ml oat milk (oat drink) or other plant milk

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Rest time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour

simple, vegan, yeast-free

Combine all ingredients, except baking soda or baking powder and plant-based milk, in a mixing bowl. Then pour in the milk and knead with a mixer for a few minutes. Let the dough rest for 20 minutes. Then, vigorously knead the baking soda or baking powder into the dough with a mixer. Preheat the oven to 200°C (top/bottom heat). Pour the dough into a loaf pan and bake for 30 minutes.
