Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 8 m.-sized eggs
  • 250 g sugar
  • 270 g flour
  • 30 g cornstarch
  • 80 g butter, liquid

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 40 minutes; Total time approx. 55 minutes

Beat the sugar and eggs until light and fluffy (the mixture should be light and creamy!). Sift the flour and cornstarch together and add to the egg mixture. Finally, fold in the melted butter and quickly pour into a springform pan, smooth it out, and bake in a preheated oven at 180°C for 30-40 minutes, until the batter is a nice golden brown. To be sure, test for doneness with a wooden skewer before removing from the oven. Once cooled, the batter can be halved and used again.
