Cherry chocolate shavings cake à la Didi

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 500 g wheat flour type 405
  • 250 g sugar
  • 250 g butter
  • 4 m.-sized eggs
  • 8 g vanilla sugar
  • 15 g baking powder
  • 200 ml milk
  • 1 bottle of butter-vanilla flavoring
  • 200 g dark chocolate bar
  • 350 g sour cherries (drained weight)
  • 10 tsp powdered sugar
  • some cherry juice

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Rest time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 1 hour 50 minutes

for two small cakes

Drain the sour cherries, reserving the cherry juice. Warm the butter. Beat the eggs with the sugar, vanilla sugar, and butter until fluffy. Flavor with butter-vanilla flavoring. Mix the baking powder with the flour. Grind half of the chocolate block in a food processor and stir into the flour. Add the flour mixture alternately with the milk to the sugar, butter, and egg mixture in the mixer. Mix everything well and fold in the cherries. Fill two silicone molds with the batter and bake each for 30 minutes at 180°C. Melt the remaining chocolate block over a bain-marie. Mix the powdered sugar with the cherry juice. Decorate both cakes with chocolate and icing. Arrange and serve.
