Marinated anchovies

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 5 tbsp lemon juice (freshly squeezed)
  • 12 tbsp oil
  • herbal salt
  • pepper
  • Paprika powder, sweet
  • cumin
  • 1 tbsp coriander leaves, chopped with a chopping knife
  • 4 garlic cloves
  • Paprika powder, hot
  • 500 g anchovies

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Rest time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 1 hour 15 minutes

from the oven

Combine lemon juice, oil, spices, and finely diced garlic to make a marinade. Wash and drain the anchovies, and add them to the marinade. Carefully fold in and let stand for about 1 hour. Preheat oven to 220 degrees Celsius (425 degrees Fahrenheit). Place the anchovies and marinade in a baking dish and bake for about 20 minutes. Tastes great with baguette.
