Tuna skewers on seaweed

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 350 g tuna, sushi quality
  • 1 tbsp mirin
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • ½ tsp sesame oil
  • ½ tbsp oyster sauce
  • 2 tbsp balsamic vinegar
  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • 3 tbsp sesame seeds, dry roasted
  • 200 g seaweed
  • Salt
  • pepper
  • Oil, for frying

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Rest time approx. 3 hours; Total time approx. 3 hours 20 minutes

For the marinade, combine mirin, soy sauce, sesame oil, oyster sauce, balsamic vinegar, and olive oil. Cut the tuna into approximately 2 cm cubes and thread them onto 4 wooden skewers. Marinate the skewers for 2-3 hours. Fry the seaweed in a pan with hot oil for 3-4 minutes, season with salt and pepper, and place on a platter. Coat with the marinade. Fry the skewers in hot oil for a total of 2-3 minutes, roll in sesame seeds, and place on the seaweed.
