Baked mushroom ciabatta

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 1 small jar of mushrooms, sliced
  • ½ pack of bacon
  • ½ onion(s)
  • Salt
  • pepper
  • Thyme
  • Chili, ground
  • 1 tbsp sauce powder, dark
  • 50 g cheese, grated
  • 1 roll (ciabatta roll), quantity depending on the size of the roll
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • e.g. butter
  • some water

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 7 minutes; Total time approx. 22 minutes

Dice the onion and slice the bacon into thin strips. Drain the mushrooms and squeeze some of the excess liquid. Sauté the onions in 1 tablespoon of oil and fry the bacon vigorously. Add the mushrooms and sauté for a few minutes. Season with a little salt—the bacon can be quite salty—pepper, thyme, and ground chili. Add a little water and thicken with gravy powder. Once the mixture has cooled slightly, add the grated cheese. Lightly butter the ciabatta halves and spread the topping on top. Bake at 170°C for about 7 minutes.
