Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 1 kg apricot(s)
  • 500 g sugar
  • some lemon juice
  • some brandy to taste
  • 2 tbsp pectin
  • 4 tbsp water

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

without gelling sugar

Wash, pit, and slice the apricots. Place the apricots in a tall saucepan with the sugar and water and simmer for about 10 minutes. Let stand overnight. The next day, stir in the pectin and simmer for about 1-2 hours, stirring constantly. Test for settling frequently. Pour into prepared jars while still hot.
