Minced meat roll with cheese

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 4 rolls
  • 2 onions
  • 300 g minced beef
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 2 tbsp tomato ketchup
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 10 slices of processed cheese (Edam or Gouda)
  • salt and pepper

Instructions

Working time approx. 25 minutes; Total time approx. 25 minutes

Halve the rolls, hollow them out, and chop or tear the hollowed-out pieces into small pieces. Peel and dice the onions. Lightly brown the butter in a pan, add the minced meat, and fry until browned. Briefly fry the inside of the rolls and the diced onions. Remove from the heat and season the minced meat with ketchup, salt, pepper, and soy sauce. Line each roll with 1/4 slice of processed cheese and fill with the minced meat. Cover with cheese. Bake the rolls in the upper part of the oven at 190°C until the cheese melts and browns.
