Bread with yeast and ready-made sourdough

Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 1 kg flour
  • 2 packets of dry yeast
  • 3 tsp salt
  • 2 packs of sourdough
  • 600 ml water
  • 1 tsp spice mix (bread spice)
  • Fat for the mold

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Rest time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 1 hour 30 minutes

Combine all ingredients in a bowl—preferably with a food processor—to form a soft dough. Cover and let rest for 15 minutes. Then transfer the dough to a greased baking pan and let it rise until it has doubled in size (takes about 1 hour). Bake in a preheated oven at 220°C on the bottom rack for about 15 minutes. Then reduce the temperature to 180°C and bake for another 45 minutes. Tip: The type of flour is up to you. I usually use spelt flour, but you can also use rye flour. The sourdough starter is packaged in 75g units.
