Apple pancake from the oven

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 3 small apples
  • 50 g quark
  • 50 g sugar
  • 50 g flour
  • 150 ml milk
  • 3 eggs, separated
  • powdered sugar
  • Cinnamon powder
  • Butter for the mold

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 25 minutes

Preheat the oven to 180°C (top/bottom heat) and butter a baking dish. Whisk the flour, quark, sugar, and milk well. Add the egg yolk and whisk again well. Beat the egg whites until stiff peaks form and carefully fold them into the mixture. Peel and core the apples, and cut them into thin wedges. Pour the mixture into the baking dish and arrange the apple slices on top. Bake in the oven on the middle rack for about 15-20 minutes. Sprinkle with powdered sugar and cinnamon. Serve while still warm.
