Cheese hot dogs

Spread the love

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 can of dough (roll dough) for 4 large rolls
  • 4 sausages to taste
  • 5 slice(s) cheese (e.g. Gouda)
  • some milk

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

in a crispy pastry coating – party hit or a quick snack in between

First, roll out the dough pieces (4 for large rolls). Place a slice of cheese on each piece of dough and roll up a sausage with it (dough facing outwards, of course!). Important: No cheese should be sticking out, otherwise it will spread all over the baking sheet. Now place the four cheese hot dogs on a baking sheet lined with baking paper, brush with a little milk (for a nice color), and bake for about 10 minutes on the middle rack of the oven at 200°C. Cut several strips from the last slice of cheese and, after 10 minutes, sprinkle them over the cheese hot dogs. Bake for another 5-8 minutes, until the dough is golden brown. Tastes delicious with salad, ketchup, fried onions, and remoulade.
