Ham – Cheese – Egg – Croissant

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 1 croissant(s)
  • 2 slices of cooked ham, thin, halved
  • 2 slices of cheese (Gouda)
  • 1 egg(s), hard-boiled, sliced
  • some mustard, if desired

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 10 minutes

Preheat the broiler. Cut the croissant open and place it cut-side up on the rack. Top each half with ham and spread with mustard, if desired. Place the cheese on top, making sure it fits evenly between the croissant halves. Broil for about 2 minutes, until the cheese begins to melt. Remove from the broiler and place on a plate. If desired, arrange the egg slices overlapping the bottom half of the croissant. Scoop up any cheese that has dripped off with a knife and spread it back on the croissant. Place the top half on top and serve immediately.
