Argentinian toast with avocado and steak

Spread the love

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 4 small rump steaks
  • 3 garlic cloves
  • some fat for frying
  • 1 avocado(s)
  • 8 slices of toast
  • salt and pepper
  • oregano

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Fry the sirloin steaks in a pan on both sides with an unpeeled garlic clove. Use little fat! Meanwhile, peel the avocado, cut it into pieces, and place it in a mixing bowl. Add the remaining peeled garlic cloves, salt, pepper, and oregano. Purée with a hand blender. Spread the cream on all the toast and top four with the fried steaks. Place the remaining slices of bread on top. Note: This is often eaten as a lunch in Argentina on its own. However, wedges or baked potatoes go well with it. Tip: Take advantage of this opportunity to prepare the toast accordingly and grill the sirloin steaks instead of pan-frying them.
