Colorful mushroom skewers

Ingredients for 6 servings:

  • 3 pieces of bratwurst (Thuringian)
  • 1 box of fresh mushrooms or alternatively a jar of whole mushrooms
  • 250 g bacon, streaky
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • 5 tbsp oil
  • Salt and pepper, freshly ground
  • Paprika powder, sweet

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

with bratwurst

Slice the bacon, trim the mushrooms (or drain them), and cut the sausages into approximately 2 cm thick slices. Thread the mushrooms, sausage, and bacon alternately onto skewers. Mix the lemon juice with oil, salt, paprika, and pepper and coat the skewers all over. Place the skewers on a baking sheet and grill under a preheated oven grill or on a charcoal grill for about 15-20 minutes, turning occasionally. Serve with mushroom butter.
