simple, fast, inexpensive, delicious
To make two doner kebabs, cut a store-bought flatbread in half, cut it in half so that the back end remains closed, and bake in the oven at around 50°C (top/bottom heat) for about 10 minutes until crispy. Cut the meat sausage in half and cut into thin strips. Brush with a little oil, sprinkle briefly with the spice mix, and let it marinate. Meanwhile, mix the sour cream with the mustard, garlic powder, and ketchup to make a creamy dip. If you like it spicy, you can also add a little chili powder, pepper, or chili flakes. Briefly fry the meat sausage slices in the oil over low heat until they are nicely browned. Then remove the flatbreads from the oven, spread the sour cream dip on top and bottom, top with some lettuce, and then arrange the meat sausage slices on top. If you like, you can also add 1-2 tomato slices on top. You’ve got a hearty meat sausage doner that’s sure to cause a lot of surprise.
